  • Potatoes, peeled and cut into fry-sized strips
  • ½ cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps

  • Wash and dry the potatoes. Cut the potatoes lengthwise then into thick slices. After sliced, chop the potatoes into matchstick or fries forms. To stop oxidation, toss the sliced fries in cold water.
  • After draining the potatoes, set them on a paper towel or dish towel and wipe dry. Revers the fries back into the empty bowl and toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Cut the chicken breasts one half-inch thick. Season the chicken with pepper and salt.
  • Dip a piece of chicken in butter on both sides, then press it into the bread crumbs.
  • Cook the battered chicken tenders thoroughly in heated oil till golden brown.
  • To eliminate extra oil, drain the fried chicken tenders on a paper towel.
  • Present the handmade chicken tenders and crispy fries hot together with your preferred dipping sauce.

  • Preheat the oven. Line a baking sheet with foil and add a rack on top. Coat the rack liberally with cooking spray. Preheat the oven to 425° Fahrenheit.
  • Mix on a baking sheet. Arrange the fries and chicken tenders in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Make sure they don’t overlap. Spray the tops of the chicken with cooking spray.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes at 400°F (200°C), turning chicken tenders and fries halfway through, or until fully cooked and golden brown.

How to Get Fries and Chicken Tenders Crispy in the Oven

With lots of potato taste, French fries are my favorite cuisine; crispy on the exterior and soft on the inside. When I cook fries, though, and the outcome is a bit of limp potato, I am not pleased. Following several tests, I have developed a few guidelines to help fries turn crispy:

  • To help the potato strips shed extra starch, soak them in water.
  • Before breading or seasoning, completely pat the potatoes and chicken tenders dry.
  • Turn the food half-through baking after lightly coating the baking sheet with olive oil.
  • To guarantee a crispy crust, bake at high temperature—400°F/200°C or higher.

FAQs

How to reheat restaurant chicken tenders and fries?

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place chicken tenders onto a foil-lined baking sheet. For extra crispy chicken strips, put them right on the rack with a layer of aluminum foil or a baking sheet on the rack below to catch any mess or grease that drips from them. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.

How to keep chicken tenders crispy?

The best way to keep fried foods crispy? Just place them on a cooling rack set over a baking sheet. If you’re frying multiple batches, throw the whole setup into a low oven to keep everything warm as you keep frying and adding to the rack.

Are chicken tenders and fries unhealthy?

Popular fried foods include fish, french fries, chicken strips, and cheese sticks, although you can deep-fry just about anything. Many people like the taste of fried foods. But these foods tend to be high in calories and trans fat, so eating a lot of them can negatively affect your health.

How to make leftover chicken tenders crispy?

To reheat fried chicken in the oven, the best method is to turn the oven on high and bake it fast. Preheat the oven to 400°F, and place room-temperature leftovers on a wire rack set on a baking sheet. The wire rack helps hot air circulate to crisp up the underside of the chicken.

How long to reheat chicken and fries in the oven?

In general, we’ve found reheated chicken is ready when the internal temperature reaches 120°F. This will take between 12 and 15 minutes in a preheated 400ºF oven. That’s hot enough to taste good without drying out.
